FAQ
The questions skeptical owners ask first
Fair questions deserve straight answers. If yours isn’t here, ask it directly — you’ll get the same kind of answer.
I already have a website. Do I still need this?
A website and a Google Business Profile are two different things. Your profile is the listing that shows up in Google Maps and the map pack — and for most local searches, it’s what people see and judge before they ever click through to a website. We optimize and manage that profile and your reviews, and the profile links to whatever website you already have. Nothing needs to be rebuilt or replaced.
How is this different from doing SEO myself — or hiring a general SEO agency?
Focus. A general SEO retainer spreads your money across blog posts, backlinks, and site tweaks. We do two things — map pack visibility and review management — because those two decide who gets the call in local service work, and we do them every single week. And yes, you could do this yourself: the tools are mostly free. What you’re really buying is the discipline of it getting done consistently for months while you’re out running jobs — which is exactly the part that slips when you try to do it between service calls.
How much does it cost?
It depends on your situation — your market, your competition, and how much work your profile and review history need. A one-size price would mean someone’s overpaying, so we don’t publish one. After the audit conversation, you get a quote for your specific business, and you’ll know exactly what it covers before you decide anything. Book a call and we’ll give you a straight answer.
How fast will I see results?
Honestly: gradually. The first weeks are foundation work — completing and correcting your profile and getting the review process running. Movement in the map pack builds from there and compounds month over month, and how fast depends on where you’re starting from and how competitive your area is. Anyone who quotes you a specific ranking by a specific date is guessing. What you’ll see from us from day one is the work itself, reported plainly, and the review count starting to move.
Do you guarantee a top-3 spot on Google Maps?
No — and you should hang up on anyone who does. Google decides rankings using factors nobody outside Google controls, including your competitors’ behavior and your proximity to the searcher. What we guarantee is the part we do control: the work gets done completely, every week, and you can see it. That’s what moves rankings; promising the ranking itself is theater.
What happens if I want to cancel?
You cancel, and everything stays yours. The engagement runs month to month — no long-term contract to escape from. Your Google Business Profile, your reviews, and everything built during the engagement belong to your business, because they’re your business’s property, not ours. We never hold access hostage. If we’re not earning the next month, we shouldn’t get it.
Most of my work comes from referrals. Why would I need this?
Referrals are the best leads there are — and almost every referral still looks you up before calling. A thin profile or a competitor with hundreds of glowing reviews can talk a referred customer out of you before you ever hear about it. Managing your visibility and reviews protects the referrals you’ve earned, and the map pack brings in the customers who don’t have anyone to ask.
Can't I just ask customers for reviews myself?
You can, and you should — the ask works best coming from the person who did the job. The problem isn’t knowing how; it’s consistency. Most owners start strong, then it slips the first busy month and never comes back. We build the ask into how your jobs already finish so it happens every time, and we handle the half nobody has time for: responding professionally to every review and keeping the profile active week over week.
I already have some bad reviews. Can you get them removed?
Only Google removes reviews, and only ones that violate its policies — anyone promising guaranteed removal is selling something they can’t deliver. Here’s what actually works: we respond to negative reviews professionally so future customers see how you handle problems, we flag genuinely policy-violating reviews to Google through the proper process, and we help you earn a steady stream of real positive reviews so old complaints stop defining your rating. Time plus volume beats one bad night.
What do you need from me to get started?
Three things. Access to your Google Business Profile — or if you’ve never claimed it, we handle that with you. About an hour up front to learn how your business actually works: your services, your best jobs, your service area. And a way to know when jobs finish, so review requests go out at the right moment. After that, your ongoing time commitment is close to zero — that’s the point of hiring it out.
Got a question we didn’t answer?
Ask it on the call — including the hard ones. If the honest answer is that you don’t need us yet, that’s the answer you’ll get.
